Western North Carolina, what a wonderful place to live! With the mountains, weather, the Biltmore, and Asheville; life is good. Asheville sets the tone for the eastern side of the Appalachian Mountains by creating an oasis for lifestyles. Asheville kind of has it all and everything, but somehow we all flow happily together. Asheville has had many renowned awards and the latest and most exciting for some, is it’s award as “BEER CITY USA”. A big celebration was just held this past week to celebrate the brewers, the beers and the beer drinkers of Asheville. Large crowds turned out and beer was king. Don’t miss next year celebration we you can drink enough beer to keep Asheville “Beer City USA” See youtube video of the fun had!

Summer will bring a number of events to WNC.

The 64th North Carolina Apple Festival will again be held in Hendersonville NC on September, 3-6 2010. The festival not only features a street fair with arts & crafts vendors but it includes continuous live musical entertainment, apple growers and their apples, children’s & youth activities, special exhibits & open houses, food, and, to top it all off, on Labor Day, the King Apple Parade. Capture the spirit of a hometown celebration that has something for the whole family, with many individual events and entertainers throughout the festival. The festival is held annually, during the Labor Day weekend. More details can be found on the NC Apple Festival web site.

Living in Tryon North Carolina we have the opportunity to utilize Asheville and Greenville SC for lifestyles and necessities. Greenville SC always has a big Independence day planned. Not many people around the Greenville area who DON’T head downtown to celebrate Independence Day. Greenville’s annual AT&T Red, White & Blue festival generally draws about 75,000 people to Main Street and Falls Park. This year the celebration starts on July 3, at 5:30 pm with music performances, fireworks above the downtown, street vendors, and about all the eating and drinking anyone would want.
